Richard Blauwhoff has a mixed Dutch and British background and has a thorough understanding of what expats in the Arnhem / Nijmegen region and foreign academics at Wageningen University are dealing with. In his practice he enjoys providing legal assistance to expats in particular because of a genuine interest in foreign legal cultures. Recently, he assisted an Indian exchange student in a consumer protection law case and received an excellent review.  

After finishing his  Ph.D at Utrecht University (2009), Richard has continued to publish in Dutch and international legal journals on family law matters and private international law. He recently finished an academic course in Dutch- English legal translation and has a good command of a number of other languages including Spanish and Portuguese.  Richard is therefore able to provide legal advice in English which saves you the costs of a translator.

His knowledge of international family law and international labour law is up to date thanks to his background as a legal counsel in researching foreign law at the request of Dutch courts and lawyers.
